Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre:

Highly recommended by our guests, big and small alike! Visit the activities lake with canoes,  pedalos and water Zorbs  or also visit the eco park where you can go birdwatching, go on a safari boat trip or visit the viewing tower for a spectacular 360 view of the town and nearby Tralee Bay. Its a great addition to our town and it is located just a few hundred metres from our park with access along the river walk. Its also a brilliant spot for lunch or coffee.

Park Run & Junior Park Run:

The FREE 5km park run takes place each Saturday morning at 9.30am in Tralee town park which is just across the road from us. There is a great atmosphere there and its lovely to run in the park, surrounded by mature trees. Register at www.parkrun.ie and print out your barcodes to bring with you. It is one of the best, well mangaged and well attended park runs in the country and you’ll do well to find a nicer park to run around!

While children are welcome to run the 5km park run, there is a special 2km park run on Sunday mornings at 9.30am. Its great fun and a lovely way for a family to run together. Register at www.parkrun.ie and print out your barcodes to bring with you.

Tralee to Fenit Greenway:

New for 2022, the beautiful Tralee to Fenit greenway is open. You can cycle the 14km Greenway from the Railway Station in Tralee to the beautiful fishing village of Fenit. It is safe,  flat and ideal to do with kids. Bikes can be hired in Tralee or bring your own.

Fenit has a beautiful beach, playground, an island lighthouse, a pier with marina to stroll around and a monument to St. Brendan. There is a little shop and a pub for lunch. Eating fish and chips in the glorious sunshine in Fenit is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Fenit really is the best kept secret of North Kerry.

Crag Cave: (rainy day activity)

Crag Cave is located just outside Castleisland, County Kerry. Formed in elevated limestone rock, the system extends to 3.8 kilometres of surveyed passage, on two levels. They also have a large indoor soft play area and an excellent cafe & shop. During the summer months they have Kingdom Falconry which do Bird of Prey displays and shows throughout the day. You could easily pass away a few hours here

Bowling Buddies & Skywalk: (rainy day activity)

The bowling alley is located in the Manor West Shopping Centre and also has an excellent high ropes skywalk experience. Parents can sit and enjoy a coffee as the older kids (apx 7 years and upwards) can swing from rope to rope above their heads! Great fun!

The Playdium: (rainy day activity)

This is the biggest indoor play area in Kerry. The younger kids will enjoy hours of fun climbing, jumping, sliding etc and adults can sit back and relax in the cafe.

Sandy Feet Farm

This is one of the newest attractions near Tralee. Located between the mountains and the sea, this scenic pet farm is getting better each year. You can pet the animals, get a ride in the trailer around the farm, play in the playground and have lunch in the cafe. They have rare breed of farm animals but our favourite are the cute Alpacas.
